Biker Beard

This one is for you dad....Lance wanted to have some "chops" just like that dude on tv so he traded in his sweet beard for a set of these. What a suprise it was to see him with a biker stach. I told him to keep it a bit thicker next time. Don't worry he didnt go out of the house looking like this and just minutes after this was taken he was wearing his bow tie and was off to work! and for the record....im not a fan of this style for him!

This is a real sombraro from Mexico....isnt it great! One of Lance's friends took this back as a little memento from his trip.

Pistons Game

Lance took me to the Pistons game Friday night. I forgot to take my camera to the game so I took a picture of my ticket instead. But yeah we had really really close seats and it was sweet. Lance got to see his favorite player from the New Jersey Nets so it was an added bonus for him! Hope everyone is doing good!!!!

Attack of the Killer Mixer

so yesterday i was making brownies and i decided to be really domesticated and use the mixer to make the brownie mix extra smooth. anyway to make a long story short i had wet hands and well.....my hand that was holding the bowl slipped off the bowl and into the mixer. ouch!!! i tried to be quick and turn the stupid thing off, but it is new and i didnt know how to turn the darn thing off. it just kept spinning and spinning until i no longer had any skin left on my hand. as you can see it is skinless, bruised and swollen. word of advice....just follow the box and stir the darn mix together.

just so you all know.....i dislike my clinical professor very very much (mom always told us not to hate, so i picked my words carfully.) I like working in PEDs though, it is fun and i never knew i liked kids this much. Emily I am excited for your new little one!!! Seeing sick kids makes me soooo thankful i am healthy and get to go home at the end of the day....so that being said.....be a little happier today because we all have our health and can enjoy life, without chemo, radiation and things like that.

Pizza!

Last night I made a pizza...with the help of lance of course. Doesen't it look good?! I will have you know that it was delicious....not to mention it ended up being big enough to feed our entire family. looks like I will be having left overs for the next week!!!

Lance and I went out for St. Patty's Day with some friends. Emily saved the day, I wore the shirt she sent me in the mail. It was a perfect green!! Anyway I hope everyone is doing good! Have fun in Florida and Hawaii everyone. Betsy and I will make sure Michigan stays nice and cold!!!!

Fun in Hawaii

This past week I was in Hawaii with dad and mom. They live in such a sweet place it is ridiculous! I had one of the best weeks of my life and I will never forget how awesome it was. Maybe someday I will have to make it my home...that is if mom and dad are still there. I miss them!!!!

Wedding

This posting is for dad. I couldn't help but get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather we had this weekend. I believe we got about 15 inches of snow on top of 40 mph winds and temperatures at around -5 degrees. Oh yeah one more thing.....I got a new suit dad. The weather is great....wish you were here!!!!

TV turned computer

I hooked my TV up as my computer screen to save some space in my bedroom. It is really cool. Now i have a sweet computer screen and only have to touch one button to make it my TV.

I ran into the nut cracker the other day

Christmas....a much needed break!

As you can see Chrsitmas was quite fun this year. Piper put on her boots and mom took to the kitchen. Mom and I will never forget making the cookbook at 2 in the morning and I know that the whole family will never forget those monster king crab legs!!!! I miss everyone already!

Thanksgiving

Vinny is my new buddy

This past weekend I got to babysit Vinny. We had fun together...you know bonding at 3 am outside waiting for Vinny to take a pooper. Really though, I had fun and I think Vinny is starting to like me. We went for walks, played with stinky and inky, went shopping at CVS and ate nachos together. Can't wait till Thursday to see him again. Get excited everybody....its almost Thanksgiving!!!

Kitty in a bag

Smokey thinks it is fun to be tied up into a bag and then have to try and paw his way out. Im a bit afraid he is going to suffocate but he seems to enjoy it. This is random but....remember when Bud used to eat bags at Mr. Berghorst's house? ha bless his heart!!

Sorry I have not updated my blog in a while...I have been really busy with school. If anyone finds my social life please tell it where I am at. But yeah, school is going good, but i cant wait for Thanksgiving. I miss everyone!!! Did McDonalds downsize?

I went to McDonalds and this is what i got....I even asked for the supersized meal...just kidding. This is what all of our trick or treaters are going to be getting this year. Mini gummy hot dogs, fries, cheezy bugers and a drink. They are really tasty so I expect to see you all dressed up and at my door on Halloween!!!

Karaoke Night

Lance and I entertained the entire bar the other night with our awesome singing voices. Lance was pretending to be Michael Jackson and then we switched gears and did a little Huey Lewis..ha!

Jayme makes professional looking cakes

Jayme came to visit me yesterday and she baked me a cake for my birthday. Doesn't it look professional?!? I must say I am very impressed, and just for the record it tasted just as good as it looked!!! Thanks Jay!

DJ Down bought me good computer speakers for my birthday! aren't they sweet?!? I even got a sub...now my apartment is bumpin!!!!

I Passed!!!

Today i took the biggest test of my college career; it was a medication administration test and i had to get a 90% on it in order to continue on in the nursing program. Good news!! That "P" in the picture means I passed.....you can find me at the bar tonight mixing myself up a celebratory drink!!

The Grizwald's move to town

This past week I helped Lance move back to school. With all options of help out of the question he took it upon himself to move everything he owned in one trip. His plymouth breeze was full to the brim (I had to sit indian stlye in the front seat in order to fit everything in). We also pulled a trailor with his thrift store bed and desk on it, not to mention it was tied down with bailing twine and an old ski rope...ha. When everything was packed and ready to go Smokes hopped on the dash( there literally was no where for him to go) and we headed to Detroit. Watch out Rochester here comes Mr. Grizwald!!

Westbury Village Townhomes....home sweet home

Hey everybody! About time I up-dated this thing. I finally got the internet so i should do a little better job from here on out. As you can see my new apartment is pretty cool. My room, although the size of mom's laundry room, is cozy and does the job quite perfectly. I start classes in full swing this week and am pretty much prepared to kiss my social and sleep life goodbye. I'm going to try and work every saturday too, so if you are in any need of medical attention, be it a rash or a bee sting (mom)...you know where to find me. Well thats my life in a nut shell. Betsy saw the Bridge

Betsy and I went up north to see Lance this past week. We had a lot of fun and Betsy finally got to see the bridge after living in Michigan for 20 years!!! On Monday Lance and I went to Mackinaw Island...it was a nice day and we biked all the way around the island!

Run Away Pussycat

This past week while I was visiting Lance Smokey ran away. I cried for 3 days straight and felt like such a terrible mother. After searching for 3 days Smokes decided to come back covered in tree sap and smelling like poop!!! So I did what any proud cat owner would do and shaved him...ha. He looks really funny, these pics dont do it justice. Smokes, all the other pussycats are laughing at you!!!
