I got my hair cut and highlighted...lance had to work a double one day when i came to visit so he help fund my entertainment for the afternoon. it took some getting used to after such long hair, but i like it now!

Last week when I went up north Lance's dad cooked us the biggest steaks I have ever seen. Look how thick those babies were!!! It tasted really good, and his dog was lovin all the fat we cut off.

Smokes is living with me now and I have noticed that during the night he likes to throw/toss his litter everywhere. So I headed to Petco today and bought "the dome". Now Smokes can toss his litter as much as he wants because it will hopefully stay inside the "litter house". If for some reason this does not work, notice the dust buster next to the "dome".

Smokes is shedding really bad. This is after one time of brushing him. I don't know why he is shedding so much it is only 93 degrees today. Poor thing, it would be like me wearing my wool jcrew coat in the house right now...ugh.

This is the gecko corner in my bedroom. Mom sent me a couple of steel, painted geckos from Hawaii and they go great with my gecko crossing sign. Isn't this a sweet little setup?!?

Last week I moved and Lance did a great job driving the Uhaul through orange construction barrels during rush hour in downtown Pontiac. He got the big 17 foot Uhaul because it was the same price as the smaller one. Lance decided he had to look like a trucker while he drove so, he lit up the cigar he found laying on the seat of the Uhaul. Don't worry it was completely wrapped and seal in a box when he found it. I think he had a good time driving that thing!!!

because my life is completely uninteresting as of now, i have decided to give you a peak at what lance and i look like these days. i am still the pasty white girl that occasionally wears thrift store tshirts out to the bar, and yes, i still can be caught with a part down the center of my hair(this however by the request of lance is becoming less of an occurance for me, i am slowly switching to the left side). lance, as you can see is still looking fine as ever with his now "long" hair and occasional polo style shirt (by the request of me). other than these slight changes in our appearance we are both doing quite all right. this was such a lame post, but can you blame me...my cable and internet were shut off yesterday because i am moving next week. i promise my next post will be worth reading...ha!

my friend erin sent me this tshirt the other day. the shirt has all of the hawaiian islands as well as individual cities labled on it. now when someone asks me where my parents live i can just point somewhere below my left boob!..ha. if anyone else wants one, it is from j crew!

I taught Piper to be a good nurse and listen to Bozo's heart! She also listened to mine..so cute.

Piper likes to eat her apples "like a boy", this means without having them cut up.

After tucking in her babies, Piper wanted me to tuck her in. I had so much fun visiting and I can't wait to go back...hopefully later on this summer so I can help with the new baby too!!!

One of my friends was moving out of her apartment the other day and needed a cat sitter while she did it. Pumpkin was a very nice kitty and would be a great wife for Smokes. Smokes however was not interested!

Biker Beard

This one is for you dad....Lance wanted to have some "chops" just like that dude on tv so he traded in his sweet beard for a set of these. What a suprise it was to see him with a biker stach. I told him to keep it a bit thicker next time. Don't worry he didnt go out of the house looking like this and just minutes after this was taken he was wearing his bow tie and was off to work! and for the record....im not a fan of this style for him!

This is a real sombraro from Mexico....isnt it great! One of Lance's friends took this back as a little memento from his trip.

Pistons Game

Lance took me to the Pistons game Friday night. I forgot to take my camera to the game so I took a picture of my ticket instead. But yeah we had really really close seats and it was sweet. Lance got to see his favorite player from the New Jersey Nets so it was an added bonus for him! Hope everyone is doing good!!!!

Attack of the Killer Mixer

so yesterday i was making brownies and i decided to be really domesticated and use the mixer to make the brownie mix extra smooth. anyway to make a long story short i had wet hands and well.....my hand that was holding the bowl slipped off the bowl and into the mixer. ouch!!! i tried to be quick and turn the stupid thing off, but it is new and i didnt know how to turn the darn thing off. it just kept spinning and spinning until i no longer had any skin left on my hand. as you can see it is skinless, bruised and swollen. word of advice....just follow the box and stir the darn mix together.

just so you all know.....i dislike my clinical professor very very much (mom always told us not to hate, so i picked my words carfully.) I like working in PEDs though, it is fun and i never knew i liked kids this much. Emily I am excited for your new little one!!! Seeing sick kids makes me soooo thankful i am healthy and get to go home at the end of the day....so that being said.....be a little happier today because we all have our health and can enjoy life, without chemo, radiation and things like that.

Pizza!

Last night I made a pizza...with the help of lance of course. Doesen't it look good?! I will have you know that it was delicious....not to mention it ended up being big enough to feed our entire family. looks like I will be having left overs for the next week!!!

Lance and I went out for St. Patty's Day with some friends. Emily saved the day, I wore the shirt she sent me in the mail. It was a perfect green!! Anyway I hope everyone is doing good! Have fun in Florida and Hawaii everyone. Betsy and I will make sure Michigan stays nice and cold!!!!

Fun in Hawaii

This past week I was in Hawaii with dad and mom. They live in such a sweet place it is ridiculous! I had one of the best weeks of my life and I will never forget how awesome it was. Maybe someday I will have to make it my home...that is if mom and dad are still there. I miss them!!!!

Wedding

My friend Ashley from nursing school got married this weekend. Lance came with me and we had a lot of fun! Here are a few pictures from the reception. Ashley makes me look like an old hag in the pictures...she looked so pretty!!!!

This posting is for dad. I couldn't help but get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather we had this weekend. I believe we got about 15 inches of snow on top of 40 mph winds and temperatures at around -5 degrees. Oh yeah one more thing.....I got a new suit dad. The weather is great....wish you were here!!!!

TV turned computer

I hooked my TV up as my computer screen to save some space in my bedroom. It is really cool. Now i have a sweet computer screen and only have to touch one button to make it my TV.

I ran into the nut cracker the other day

Christmas....a much needed break!

As you can see Chrsitmas was quite fun this year. Piper put on her boots and mom took to the kitchen. Mom and I will never forget making the cookbook at 2 in the morning and I know that the whole family will never forget those monster king crab legs!!!! I miss everyone already!
